Triple M Metal LP is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Welder at our 471 Intermodal Dr. (Brampton) location. The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, motivated, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate a high attention to detail, have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work safely in a fast paced environment.  All duties listed below will be completed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday (3:30pm – 4:00am). Overtime hours may be available on Saturday(s) from time to time.


The responsibilities, work conditions, essential skills and physical capabilities listed below are meant to provide a description of the requirements related to this position. However, the list below is not inclusive of all responsibilities and conditions associated with this position.


Brief Overview of Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Use hand/power tools to prepare various types of materials for the welding process;
  • Manually weld, incorporating various techniques/positions: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW);
  • Cut materials using Oxy Acetylene Torch;
  • Bend various lengths of pipe;
  • Custom fabrication projects as assigned;
  • Repair machinery, box/bins, etc. as assigned;
  • Forklift operation as required;
  • Perform service calls at other locations as required:
  • Rigging and use of overhead crane as required;
  • Maintain a safe and orderly working environment;
  • Other general duties as assigned by Manager.

  • Indoor and outdoor work as assigned;
  • Hot, dusty working environment;
  • Physically demanding duties can be assigned from time to time;
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.;
  • Attention to detail will be required;
  • Standing, climbing, bending and crouching will be required.


Minimum Requirements and Essential Skills:


  • Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP's Core Values of Respect, Ethics, Service, Team and Pride;
  • Valid Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certification Required;
  • Previous experience with manual welding techniques SMAW, GMAW and FCAW (all positions);
  • Previous experience with equipment repair;
  • Some familiarity with blueprint reading preferred;
  • Valid forklift certificate preferred;
  • Valid G driver’s license or equivalent;
  • Previous experience with rigging;
  • Previous experience operating overhead crane;
  • Previous experience in a similar working environment preferred;
  • Must be physically able to wear the required PPE (e.g. respirator);
  • OSSD or equivalent.
