Triple M Metal LP is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Non-Ferrous Wire Chop Manager at our 900 Intermodal Dr. (Brampton) location.  The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, motivated, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate a high attention to detail, have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work safely in a fast paced environment.



Brief Overview of Responsibilities:


  • Manage the performance of a highly technical, mechanized wire chop processing plant against KPI’s.
  • Accountable for the metal recovery process and quality of final products.
  • Management of an hourly workforce.
  •  Provide input into operational procedures and drive operational excellence.
  • Disseminate information to traders, managers and VP of Trading Non-Ferrous regarding the material processed.

Minimum Requirements and Essential Skills:


  • Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP's Core Values of Respect, Ethics, Service, Team and Pride
  •  Industry experience in recycling, automotive or consumer goods manufacturing or foundry processes would be an asset.
  • 1 year experience in a similar role/environment
  • Knowledge of non-ferrous metals.
  •  Ability to identify various non-ferrous materials through visual inspection preferred
  • Metallurgical background would be an asset.
  •  Experience with processing equipment and process engineering. (knowledge of PLC operated systems, frequency drives, aggregate sorting and screening equipment, mechanical drives and scale systems).
  •  Purchasing and budget /cost control experience.
  •  Management experience with demonstrated results.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal skills and a proven ability to coach, train and develop employees.
  •  Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve quality and service excellence.
  •  Understanding of basic statistical information and data collection.
  • Experience with Health and Safety Committee as well as strong knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety practices.
  • Ability to develop and grow a business unit, ensure continuous improvement and meet organizational objectives.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, problem-solve and ensure accuracy (attention to detail).
  • Proven ability to demonstrate good communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient computer skills, Great Plains, MS Office suite of products.
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Technical discipline required.
