Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions;
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required;
  • Adjust equipment, report or replace defective parts;
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer’s specifications;
  • Service, maintenance and/or overhaul diesel engines, mechanical and hydraulic transmissions;
  • Service, maintenance and/or overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatics systems;
  • Perform scheduled maintenance;
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed;
  • Maintain a safe and orderly working environment;
  • Clean lubricate and perform other maintenance work;
  • Servicing our fleet of mobile and stationary equipment (Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu and Volvo).

 

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

  • Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP's Core Values of Respect, Ethics, Service, Team and Pride;
  • Must be a licensed 421A Mechanic;
  • Valid Ontario “G” license required;
  • Own tools required;
  • Reading, writing and document use;
  • Mathematical ability;
  • Working with others;
  • Decision making;
  • Physically demanding with attention to detail required;
  • Standing, bending, crouching and working outdoors for extended periods of time.
